This means that our education and research is strongly internationally oriented. Their 2 programmes, Law and Criminology, are widely known for their student-centred, quality education, which shapes our students into critical, unique global citizens. The alumni can often be found in key positions in international and regional organisations, but also in Belgian politics, the judiciary, the legal profession, the civil service, the police, the business community, and civil society. Education at their Faculty is rooted in the tradition of scientific research. The research in certain fields is recognised far beyond their physical borders. Extra requirements	Based on the language of instruction (Dutch or English), you would need to provide a proof of your proficiency: an equivalent to a CEFR level B2 at the moment of application and C1 at the moment of departure. Students from the English taught LLB and LLM programmes are exempt from this requirement in regards to their English proficiency.
Important information	The courses in English are almost exclusively Master courses. Therefore, an exchange to this university in English will always be on a Master level. For Dutch students, all Dutch courses are made available.

Financial support / Grants	More information on study and placement grants for law students can be found on the website www.rug.nl/law/lep. An Erasmus+ grant covers part of the travel and accommodation expenses involved in studying abroad. At the moment the Erasmus+ grant has been set at € 330 - € 390 per calendar month, depending on the country of your host university. This may change per academic year. Your application for an exchange period at one of the Faculty's partner universities also counts as your application for a grant. When you receive notification of a place for study abroad, you will also learn more about the Erasmus grant.
