The University of Bristol Law School is one of the leading centres of legal study in the UK with an international reputation for high quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research.
We are lucky to be located in the iconic Wills Memorial Building, a well known Bristol landmark, and to have easy access not only to the rest of the University but also to the many cafes and shops in the Park Street area.
A huge choice of cultural, social and sporting facilities is offered by the University and the City of Bristol. The School itself offers opportunities to debate, to enter moots, and to undertake pro bono work with the Innocence Project and the Law Clinic. In addition, the student-run Law Club organises social, sporting and career development events. With over 50 academic and support staff, and 35 research students, we offer qualifying law degrees as well as specialist taught Masters degrees. We have well established partnerships giving our undergraduates the opportunity to spend part of their studies at a university in in Europe, Hong Kong, Japan or Singapore. Our students, who come from many different countries and the UK, are much sought after by employers in the legal and other professions.
Our academic staff are leaders in their respective fields, which include the law of obligations, property, family law, criminal law and justice, employment law, legal theory, international law, human rights, socio-legal methods, human rights, and public law.

You would need to provide a proof of your English proficiency: an equivalent to a CEFR level B2 at the moment of application and C1 at the moment of departure. Students from the English taught LLB programme are exempt from this requirement for the internal application process at the UG.
Example of the English proficiency required scores by the host university:
IELTS 6.5 overall and no less than 5.5 in any other section
TOEFL 90 with minimum scores of 20 in each part

Please note : a proof of language proficiency is also required for the visa procedure (for non native speakers). If you meet the language proficiency requirement at the host university, it will also be accepted while applying for the Student Visa. If you enter UK for a study programme of less than 6 months, you might be eligible for a regular Student Visitor Visa.

A Marco Polo grant covers part of the travel and accommodation expenses involved in studying abroad. At the moment the Marco Polo grant has been set at € 390 per calendar month. This may change per academic year.
Your application for an exchange period at one of the Faculty's partner universities also counts as your application for a grant. When you receive notification of a place for study abroad, you will also learn more about the Marco Polo grant. - Student Reports
